On Sunday, November 5th, from 4pm-9pm at Keg and Barrel, Southern Pines Animal Shelter is hosting its 7th annual Tails & Ales: Meet Your Soul Mutt event. This one of a kind event features bachelor and bachelorette dogs, and for the second year in a row, our feline friends will also be seeking forever homes!
Southern Pines is inviting the public to come join the fun and meet their most eligible canine and feline bachelors and bachelorettes. Dogs will be escorted to each of the tables to mingle with their prospective families in a “speed-dating” style fashion; no more personal ads or blind dates, just a casual and fun environment! If a cat is closer to your idea of a perfect partner, our bachelor and bachelorette cats will be waiting for you, in usual cat fashion, to come meet them at our Kitty Cabana.
Admission to this speed dating party is $25 and includes an event T-shirt, a $10 gift certificate to the Keg and Barrel, a complimentary beer, our “Little Black Book” featuring our available pets and offers from our sponsors, live music, and a chance to find the perfect family pet. Party goers can expect to be in the company of the Pinebelt’s most eligible bachelor and bachelorette dogs and cats who have spent the day being primped and pampered for their big night out.
Tails and Ales will be held at the Keg and Barrel in Hattiesburg and will help to raise much-needed operating funds for Southern Pines, as well as promote the adoption of shelter pets. Guests are encouraged to bring their own dogs (on leash) to the event to meet the bachelor and bachelorette puppies and dogs as well, so come on out and meet your soul mutt.
Sponsorship levels are the Best in Show ($500), the Alpha Dog (250), the Fat Cat ($100) and the Tail Wagger ($50).
