Southern Pines’ purpose is to nurture the bond between people and pets through community, compassion, and collaboration to forge a path toward sustainable, responsible, and community-driven lifesaving.

Together we are making a difference for animals in need. In 2021, Southern Pines Animal Shelter achieved a Lifesaving Rate of over 97.87%. Join us as we continue saving more lives than ever before by:

Our Commitment

  • To foster a spirit of education and collaboration to build a community of caring and compassionate pet owners.
  • To advocate for the welfare of pets in our community.
  • To create access to affordable veterinary care, promote healthy pet ownership through wellness services, focus on spay & neuter to reduce pet overpopulation.
  • To innovate with a focus on efficient, lifesaving programming to reduce unnecessary euthanasia.
  • To bridge the gap between people, pets, and resources to ensure our community's animals are safe and cared for.

Hours of operation:

Monday - Tuesday:  12pm - 5pm

Wednesday:  CLOSED

Thursday - Sunday:  12pm - 5pm
