Welcome to our 4th Rescue Raffle!

We’d like to introduce you to these sweet pups--Murph, Mervin, Maldonado, Mims, Merica, and Matcha. These adorable Pomeranian/Yorkie puppies have spent the last few weeks romping and playing their little hearts out in a foster home, and they are now ready to find families of their very own.

BUT BEFORE YOU EMAIL OR CALL ABOUT ADOPTING ONE OF THEM, PLEASE KEEP READING...
Highly desirable animals like these pups often result in hundreds of phone calls, messages, and emails to our shelter that we unfortunately do not have the manpower to accommodate. This raffle will be the only way these pups will be available for adoption.


WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF OUR RESCUE RAFFLE?
Rescue Raffle is a fundraising event that benefits all of our residents at the shelter--from longtimers like 32 oz. Polar Pop to kitties like Freya who have some additional challenges--helping them get the care and/or time they need so they can find the loving homes they deserve.

On average, it costs our shelter an average of $300 per pet to get them ready for adoption. From providing medical care, spay/neuter surgery, food, shelter, love, and so much more--our average adoption fees are much lower than the investment we put into our pets to help them find health, happiness, and loving homes of their very own. This raffle and these puppies' adoption fees help us continue our mission to help pets in need and help us continue to give every pet in our care their best chance at a new beginning.


SO WHAT ARE YOU ENTERING TO WIN WHEN YOU PURCHASE RESCUE RAFFLE TICKETS?
Please note, we are NOT raffling off puppies, rather we are raffling off the first 3 adoption appointments to meet them. 1 (One) Raffle Ticket = 1 (One) chance to win an adoption appointment.

This means the 6 individuals who win the raffle will be first in line--in order of how their names are drawn--to meet these puppies and decide whether or not one of these pups will be a good fit for their family. This will be the only way these puppies will be available for adoption. (Regular adoption policies, fees, and procedures will all still apply.)

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Donate for raffle tickets; click "Get Entries" (no limit): https://give.classy.org/RescueRaffle2022
2. Raffle tickets put you in the running for the chance to adopt one of these 6 (SIX) puppies!
3. Winners will be drawn randomly and announced at 9am on Saturday, July 1st on our Facebook page.
4. Adoption Meet ‘n Greet Appointments will be scheduled for the 6 (SIX) drawn winners on Sunday, June 2nd between 12-5pm
5. Come at your scheduled time to meet the puppies
5. Pay the adoption fee and adopt your new puppy pal!

"Fuschia is the little old lady of her litter. She looks like she should be knitting and sipping herbal tea with little spectacles on the end of her nose. She is very affectionate and does literally the best puppy dog eyes."

Freesia

Sex: Female
Age: 2.5 months
Adoption Fee: $500

"Freesia is the social butterfly of the bunch, always trying to play or steal a kiss. She is curious, spirited, and so cute bouncing around with her siblings."

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Donate $10 to receive ONE (1) RAFFLE TICKET, or donate $50 to receive six (6) tickets.
   1. Only one ticket donation is required to be entered in the raffle.
   2. One (1) raffle ticket = One (1) chance to win an adoption appointment
   3. Raffle tickets guarantee you a chance to be selected for one of the 6 adoption appointment slots.
   4. There is no limit on the amount of tickets you may purchase, and tickets may be purchased via this link: https://give.classy.org/RescueRaffle2022
   5. You are only eligible to be a winner one time. Regardless of the number of raffle tickets you’ve donated for, you may not win more than one appointment time slot. Winning participants may only adopt a maximum of one (1) puppy.
   6. Raffle tickets are non-refundable.
   7. To complete the adoption, the winners must pay the full adoption fee for the puppy they choose. This is in addition to the cost of their raffle ticket entry and any additional raffle tickets purchased.
      1. The puppies each have adoption fees of $500 that includes their spay/neuter surgery fees, their vaccinations and preventative care, their microchip, a free bag of starter food and a free 30-day trial of pet insurance.
   8. Ticketing is open from Wednesday, June 28th at 10am CST until Friday, June 30th at 11:59pm CST.
   9. Participants must provide a valid address, email address, and phone number when purchasing a raffle ticket(s).
   10. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

1. 1. Following the drawing, our shelter staff will contact the SIX (6) winners to schedule their appointments
      1. Appointments will be scheduled in the order in which they were drawn. For example, the first individual whose name is drawn will get the first pick of the litter, the second individual will get second choice, etc.
      2. If you are unable to make the appointment time that you agree to, we will reschedule a new appointment within 24 hours of your original appointment. However, you will forfeit your place in line, and the other appointments after yours will take place as scheduled. 
      3. We will not hold specific puppies for particular appointments or for rescheduled appointments.
      4. In the event you are unable to make your rescheduled adoption appointment, you forfeit your adoption appointment altogether, and the the individual drawn as the runner up will be contacted to schedule a new adoption appointment.
      5. If you are a raffle winner and your adoption application is denied for any reason, the cost of your raffle tickets will be refunded to you.
   2. We will announce the winners on our Facebook page on July 1st at 9am.
      1. Using a random number generator app, we will choose the THREE (3) winners of the THREE (3) adoption appointments.
      2. In the event that a winner is not eligible/able to participate or opts to forfeit their scheduled adoption appointment, a runner up will also be chosen.

We do not currently have the manpower available to accommodate the influx of calls that tiny puppies inevitably generate.
