There is no more personal and impactful way to help animals than by becoming a foster parent, and Southern Pines has a variety of foster opportunities to help save more lives than ever before. From opening your home to an underage puppy or kitten, to becoming a foster ambassador, to giving a dog or puppy going on a transport a place to crash while they wait for their ride to providing a peaceful healing home- there are so many ways to foster and every one means the world to an animal in need. Fosters play a vital role in the life of their foster animals and are a critical component to the success of the Southern Pines Animal Shelter mission as a whole. Simply put, fosters help save lives.

Looking for a unique foster opportunity?
Become an Adoption Ambassador at Southern Pines! Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, you can select an animal (big, small, cat, or dog!) to take home with you.  Through this program, you can lend your foster pet a helping hand by finding that pet a wonderful, loving home. It can be a friend, relative, coworker, or fellow student that adopts your foster and you get to be involved in the process!

As always, we provide everything you need to take care of the pet while they're in your home! Find out more about this exciting program today!
