As our community works together to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Southern Pines Animal Shelter is still committed as ever to saving the lives of the animals in our care while also keeping public health and safety a top priority.
To that end, we have put in place enhanced sanitization protocols and social distancing measures to help keep our team members and community safe. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who’s assisted in making all these necessary changes happen over such a short period of time. |
A: We are currently open to the public for adoptions during our normal business hours (MTTFSS 12pm-6pm; CLOSED Wednesdays), and we are currently accepting a limited number of surrender appointments. A maximum of 10 visitors can be on the property at a time, and visitors are required to wear masks.
According to the Center for Disease Control, there is no evidence that companion animals could spread coronavirus (COVID-19).
Foster homes! We need ready and willing foster homes who can keep pets for 4-6 weeks. The goal is to greatly increase our foster base in case we are forced to close. If you’re interested in fostering a pet, email us at [email protected].
Volunteers! Please visit our Givepulse page to find out how you can help our pets and support our team during this time.
Donations! If you cannot foster or volunteer, please consider donating. We need your help now more than ever to help us continue operations as normal and to provide all the essentials for the animals in our care. If you'd like to make a gift, you can donate toward their care HERE.
